Jazz & Blues Club Ungelt se nachází v prostorách domu, který zde stojí již tisíc let, jak dokládá darovací listina českého knížete Bořivoje II.

Z roku 1101.O jeho osudech hovoří i další listiny

z roku 1290 a 1298, potvrzující význam místa zvaného dodnes Ungelt, od nepaměti střediska mezinárodního obchodu.Po celá staletí muselo

veškeré zboží, do Prahy přicházející a z Prahy odcházející, projít areálem Ungeltu, kde pak obchodníci platili poplatek zvaný UNGELT.

Zde se rovněž uzavíraly veškeré obchodní smlouvy.Postupem času a vývojem mezinárodních událostních vztahů význam ungeltu upadal, až za vlády komunistů byl např. v těchto unikátních prostorách sklad. Koncem 90. let minulého století prošly tyto prostory náročnou rekonstrukcí,

a současní majitelé zde vlastním nákladem zřídili plzeňskou restauraci, a hlavně jazz-bluesový klub, a přispěli tak k celkové obnově architektonického skvostu-areálu Ungelt.

Jazz & Blues Club Ungelt is situated within the limits of a house of thousand  years old history as being proven by a deed of gift issued by the Czech Prince Bořivoj II in the year of 1101.  About further destiny speak other documents dated 1290 and 1298, confirming the significance of this location known as Ungelt

to this day, from time immemorial a center of international trade. Throughout centuries all goods imported from abroad or all goods set for export had to pass   though this area of Ungelt where tradesmen paid the duty called ungelt. Here, all the commercial contracts had to be concluded.As time went on and international trade developed, the significance of Ungelt had declined; during the communist times e.g. this unique place had become

an ordinary deposit.By the end of the nineties of the last century, the place had undergone an ambitious reconstruction, present day owners  established  here Pilsner Restaurant and Jazz & Blues Club, in particular, and contributed thus to the full renovation of this architectural jewel – Ungelt area.
